California Enacts Country's Toughest SPAM Legislation

By Joseph J. Lewczak and Alison Degregorio of Davis & Gilbert LLP

On September 23, 2003, the governor of California signed California Bill ALS 487, enacting what is now the toughest anti-spam legislation in the United States. The law takes effect January 1, 2004.
