At its November 4, 1999 meeting, the Independent Regulatory Review Commission approved proposed regulations from the Environmental Quality Board. One set of regulations would revise the erosion and sediment control requirements to eliminate obsolete terms, simplify technical requirements for Best Management Practices, update and clarify permit requirements, and integrate the regulations with federal requirements for stormwater discharges from construction activities. The second set of regulations would establish volatile organic compound limitations and coating application technology requirements for mobile equipment repairs and refinishing.
