Employers with more than several employees are obligated to maintain workers' compensation insurance for their employees. In the event that an employer refuses to provide these benefits, injured employers are encouraged to consult with a lawyer. A lawyer may also protect an employee's rights if anyone other than the employer or a co-worker was even partially responsible for the accident. Often, employees are injured by dangerous and\/or defective products including machinery and tools used in the course of employment.
